They are stations used to empty manually bags and collect their content into storage containers. The bags can be of different dimensions, made of paper or plastics, and can contain various bulk products, both powder and granular.

The basic setup (MEB) is constituted by a loading hopper with a bag supporting grid easily removable to have access inside to accomplish more easily the cleaning operations.

The loading hopper can have polygonal or truncated-conical shape and the capacity can vary according to the specific stocking needs.

The station MEB is equipped with height adjustable feet and anchorable to the ground. Alternatively it can be provided with wheels or a palletizable base for transpallet or forklift, this makes it easily movable to do the cleaning all around.

The outlet of the loading hopper is equipped with a flange to allow the installation of interception devices, such as butterfly or slide gate valves. It is also possible to connect eventual extraction systems, such as rotary valves, or also mechanical or pneumatic transport systems to convey the bulk product to other parts in the plant. If the product transport happens pneumatically the lower area of the hopper is equipped with air flow regulation devices and eventually line cleaning ones as provided for the product intake hoppers series TPP.

The dumping bags station MEB can be also used as manual loading hopper for dosers series CH, CHY, BH, BHY, DFH and DFHY.

To the basic setup MEB it can be added a hood installed in place of the lid ( MEBH ).The function of the hood is to avoid that the dust creating while dumping the bags to spread in the environment. The hood presents a drop-down up openable front door and supported by gas springs. The hood of the station MEBH is equipped with an air intake, provided to connect to the dedusting centralized system or a dedicated captation and filtering system. The air intake outlet is normally equipped with an interception gate electro-pneumatically controlled. The gate, normally closed, is actioned when the front door is open submitted by the consent of a microswitch. The light vacuum which creates inside the hood makes the volatile powder to be sucked by filtering systems and not inhaled by the operator.

The dumping bags station can be equipped also with its own dedusting filter installed inside the cabin hood (MEBHF). The filter can house until 8 filtering elements in battery. The filtering elements are constituted by cartridges or bags, made of antistatic polyester cloth, and are easily accessible to be disassembled and replaced. On board it is installed also a cleaning system of the filtering elements with relative counter current air jet valves and compressed air storage tanks to connect to the establishment compressed air net.

The dumping bag station MEBHF has the advantage to minimize the product losses by recovering it in the loading hopper instead to have to collect it in the filtering systems where there is the risk of contamination with other powders.

The loading hoppers of the stations MEB and MEBH are equipped with minimum and maximum level sensors by which to manage the bag unloading. The most used sensors are capacitive, rotary level sensors, vibrating level switches to choose according to the product features.

For poorly flowing products it can be installed also proper pneumatic or electric vibrators, to prevent the formation of bridges and obtain a complete emptying of the loading hopper at the end of the production.

The bags emptying stations MEB, MEBH and MEBHF are available also in the gravimetric version (MEBW, MEBHW and MEBHFW) equipped with a base installed on 4 load cells. The load cells used are off-center, flexion or shear beam, aluminum or stainless steel, available also in the Atex version when it is requested.

The gravimetric setup allows to load or transfer a predefined quantity of product.

The most used construction materials are stainless steel Aisi 304 and 316L, but it is also possible to provide carbon steel on request.

The surfaces in contact with the product can be easily pickled or mirror polished in case of poorly flowing products. It is possible to have certifications of the contact materials on request.

The external surfaces are satin finished 180 mesh. It is possible to have them glass bead blasted or electro-polished on request.

The gaskets are made in dust-tight rubber, such as SBR or NBR. They are available also with FDA certification on request.

Electrical control panels can also be supplied including software specifically designed accordingly to the requested functionality.
