The extractors series EFP are particularly indicated to extract from silo or from big hoppers poorly flowing products and with tendence to agglomerate and make bridges. They are used mainly for powder products but also for granules, pellet, flakes and fibers.

They are constituted by a sturdy flat bottom, equipped with stiffening ribs, with a perimetral flange for the installation under silo or hopper. In the center it is installed the extracting device constituted by a motorized shaft to whom are fixed two or more scrapers. The scrapers have a shape so as to push the product and convey it towards one or more discharging outlets.

The blades of the flat bottom extractors EFP can have different shapes and their geometry is defined according to the product to extract. The most used blades are the straight and with profile inclined downwards, proper for every kind of powder in general, or concave flat half-moon, particularly aimed for light products.

On the blades are bolted skates or scraping flaps made with plastic material . The skates and the flaps are fixed in order to barely touch the flanged plan and limit the friction during the rotation. The skates and the flaps can be easily replaced when worn out for abrasion after a period of work.

The shaft to which the blades are fixed is equipped with a lid with a labyrinth tight seals, that protects the motorized transmission unit from dust. The seal has shielded bearings and dust tight rings available in different materials such as NBR, SILICONE, PTFE EPDM and VITON. Are available also seals flushed with air for hard applications.

The transmission group that drives the extractor device is constituted by a worm type gearbox and a three-phase electrical motor. Are available motorizations certified Atex , eventually completed with temperature probe and anticondensation heater when it is requested.

The motor can be controlled by a frequency converter and it can be servo-ventilated if necessary. In this way it is possible to set the rotation speed of the blades in order to obtain the extraction range wanted.

The transmission groups can be equipped with a device for detecting the direction of rotation of the dosing screws and of the horizontal agitator. The device is made of an inductive sensor and a flap keyed on the slow shaft of the gear motor. Everything is protected by an aluminum restraint box with a transparent polycarbonate sight glass.

Under the discharging outlets it can be installed butterfly valves or slide gates to avoid the spontaneous coming out of the product when the extractor stands still.

The flat bottom extractor EFP can be provided with a cilindrical or conical container so as to form an extracting hopper (TEFP). The extracting hopper TEFP can be used for example as loading hopper of the dosers series CH, CHY, BH, BHY, DFH and DFHY when there are poorly flowing and particularly compact products.

The extracting hoppers TEFP can be used to feed mechanical conveyors, such as screws, rotary valves, conveyor belts, bucket elevators, redler, aeromechanical conveyors or also pneumatic transport systems.

As accessories of the extracting hoppers TEFP there are minimum and maximum level sensors, to detect the presence of product. The most used sensors are capacitive types, rotary level sensors, vibrating level switches to choose according to the product characteristics.

The most used construction materials are stainless steel Aisi 304 and 316L, but it is also possible to provide carbon steel on request.

The surfaces in contact with the product can be easily pickled or mirror polished in case of poorly flowing products. It is possible to have certifications of the contact materials on request.

The external surfaces are satin finished 180 mesh. It is possible to have them glass bead blasted or electro-polished on request.

The gaskets are made in dust-tight rubber , such as SBR or NBR. They are available also with FDA certification on request.

Both flat bottom extractors EFP and the extractor hoppers TEFP can be certified Atex 21/22 and Atex 21/21.

Electrical control panels can also be supplied including software specifically designed accordingly to the requested functionality.
